Features

Everything a capture keeps. Everything you can do with it.

Scroll Coach is built around one conviction: a capture is only as useful as the depth of what was kept. Here is the full tour, honestly described.

Capture

One tap from any feed.

Tap Share on a post, reel, thread, or video in the app you are already in and pick Scroll Coach. You get two choices: Chat about it starts a conversation about the content right away, and See it in Corpus files it straight into your library. Both run the same full extraction. You can also paste any link inside the app.

Capture is built to disappear from your attention: it confirms on your device in a blink and most processing continues in the cloud whether or not you keep the app open. Some platform videos finish their deep watch on your next app open. When a capture finishes processing, Scroll Coach can notify you that it is ready.

Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest, Substack, and any web link.

The engine

Extraction that actually watches.

For video, the AI watches the content itself and records it in layers. For posts and articles, it reads in full. Every capture ends with two records: a clean brief you can skim, and a deep structured record built for recall.

Word for word transcript

Speakers separated, multilingual with English glosses. YouTube captures use the official caption track where one exists, word perfect with timestamps.

On-screen text

Captions, overlays, signs, product names: the text that appears in the frame gets captured, because that is where creators put the substance.

Music and sounds

The track playing, what it contributes, and the notable sounds beyond speech. Lyrics are transcribed when they carry the message.

Visual record

A change based description of what happens on screen over time: scenes, demonstrations, before and after moments, the details worth recalling.

Structured analysis

Topics, key points, entities, claims, quotes, and steps, plus a clean brief with takeaways. Carousels are analyzed image by image.

Provenance, stamped

Every capture records how its content was obtained. If the frames were never truly watched, the visual fields stay empty rather than guessed. Honesty is enforced in code, not just promised.

Search

Built for how memory actually works.

You rarely remember titles. You remember "the tailor talking about linen" or "the thread about pricing psychology". Scroll Coach searches by meaning and by exact words at the same time, and the index covers the full deep record, not just the headline.

That is why a video about tax advice can be found by the jacket someone wore in it: the deep record remembered the jacket. Results come back in about half a second.

Collections keep the browsing side tidy: group captures by project or theme, search inside a single collection or across everything, and sort however you think.

Chat

A librarian, not a search box.

The built in chat works like a librarian with full run of your stacks: it searches your corpus, reads the relevant captures, and answers with citation chips that link straight back to the source capture.

Conversations are real threads you can name, search, and return to. Replies stream in with full markdown, you can attach a photo to ask about it, and a model picker lets you choose the brain, with a top tier model as the default.

Share a post to "Chat about it" and the conversation starts from that capture's full extraction: not the thumbnail, the substance.

Your AI, connected

The corpus travels. You choose the AI.

Connect Claude or ChatGPT once and it can search your library, read any capture in full, browse your collections and creators, and pull corpus stats, whenever you ask. Under the hood that is an MCP server: a set of read only tools protected by OAuth 2.1.

Verified working from Claude Desktop and from ChatGPT, including ChatGPT on mobile. Setup is a one time connection, and revoking it takes one tap.

Why read only matters: it is our standing defense against prompt injection. Whatever a connected assistant reads, it can never be tricked into changing or deleting your corpus, because no writing tools exist at all.
Ownership

Yours, in the strongest sense.

Export everything

Your whole corpus, as structured JSON or readable Markdown, whenever you want it. No lock in, no exit fee, no dark patterns on the way out.

Delete for real

Deleting a capture, a collection, or your entire account is a true hard delete on your device and in the cloud. Not an archive, not a flag: gone.

A dashboard that knows you

Home shows your corpus at a glance: the topics and creators that dominate it, and a daily insight from your librarian drawn from what you actually captured.
